This vast site includes over 25 temples and chapels, showcasing some of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian design and architecture.

Next, we’ll explore the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of Egypt's most impressive structures. Hatshepsut, the first female ruler to reign as pharaoh, ruled as a male with full authority. The temple, set against dramatic cliffs, is a testament to her legacy. The site was originally a complex of mortuary temples and tombs before it became a Christian monastery in later centuries.
