Egypt is so much more than the famous Pyramids of Giza and over the next two week we will show you the best the ancient world has to offer.
If you are feeling fit and small spaces don't bother you then after your visit to the Giza Plateau you will have the option to climb inside the Great Pyramid, said to have been built as the final resting place for the Pharaoh Khufu.... we can discuss the other theories too!
From Cairo we will fly south the the beautiful city of Aswan where we will be based for a few days before embarking our Nile River Cruise
Abu Simbel, considerred by most to be the creme de la creme of all the temples of Egypt, built by the greatest Pharaoh and father of more than 100 children, Ramses II.
Here in Abu Simbel there are two temples that were saved by UNESCO in the 60's due to the rising waters of the River Nile. The second temple is dedicated to Ramses II most beloved wife Nefertari.
Once we emabark our Nile River Cruise we will visit temples along the edge of the Nile before arriving the the Ancient capital of Thebes, now known as Luxor
Luxor is often considered the biggest open air museum in the world with the majority of Egyptian artefacts found in the area.
On the West Bank of the Nile is the Valley of the Kings, most famous for the discovery of the Tomb of King Tutankhamun in 1922. 
Also in Luxor we will wander through the Hypostyle Hall at Karnak Temple that has to be seen in person to grasp the true size and breathtaking architecture of the 134 columns and numerous structures and obelisks on the site.
Upon returning to Cairo we will finish the tour with the sites of Old Cairo, Islamic Cairo and the oldest bazaar in the middle east Khan el Khalili, established in the 14th century and located in the heart of Islamic Cairo, this busy and colorful open-air bazaar is filled with unique and exotic items from spices and perfumes, to the must have souvenirs.

Day 1: Arrival Day Istanbul

Istanbul - Arrival Day
Upon our arrival at Istanbul International Airport, your guide will meet, assist and transfer you to the hotel.
Istanbul was the capital city of Byzantium & Roman Empires and Ottoman State. It is a most fascinating city, which actually crosses two continents Europe and Asia. It is a city of amalgamation of museums, bazaars, minarets, mosques, churches, palaces, and restaurants catering to every one’s taste, customs and fifteen million people.
Overnight in Istanbul.

Day 2: Istanbul

Saturday 
After breakfast, we have Istanbul City Tour.
Our first visit will be HIPPODROME. Ancient Hippodrome was the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. Than we will visit SULTANAHMET IMPERIAL MOSQUE.
Across from Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, it was built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is known as the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles.
Our next visit will be HAGIA SOPHIA GRAND MOSQUE. The Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque, previously known as the Church of Divine Wisdom, is simply the best of its kind! Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque is the greatest surviving example of Byzantine Architecture. For 1000 years, it was once the largest church in the world, decorated with stunning 6th century golden mosaics. Today it is a mosque.
Lunch break at 13:00 pm.
After the lunch, we will take you to the ALI PASAZADE which is a unique atmosphere with reasonable prices for your shopping. Here you will find; Exotic Spices and Herbs, Turkish Baklava, Turkish Delights, Turkish Coffee, nuts and fruits, small souvenirs such as Ceramic Handicrafts, Evil Eyes totems, all naturel olive oil, soaps and many other goods in Souvenir Shops and stores.
After the tour, transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3: Gallipoli Battlefields

Sunday
At 06:00 or 06:30 am we depart for Gallipoli in order to visit the battle fields.
We will arrive Gallipoli around 12:00 pm. and we will have lunch break, relax a little bit and then depart for the battle fields.
Visit Gabatepe Museum. Start visiting the fields with Ariburnu Cemetery and Anzac Cove because these are the places where the war had started. Then Beach Cemetery, Lone Pine and Chunuck Bair.
After the tour we will drive you to the hotel.

Day 4: Troy Acropolis of Pergamon

Monday
We depart at 08:30 and visit the famous archeological and mythological site of Troy, home of the Trojan Horse and Helen of Troy.
After Troy tour, 3hour drive to Pergamon.
Lunch break around 13:00 pm. and after the lunch departure for tour of the magnificent Bergama Museum. It is an impressive Museum and you may see many important relics from Ancient Pergamon. Pergamon is a famous city for its jewellery, stones and silver. So on the way, we will visit a jewellery center for 30 minutes.
Arrival to Kusadasi around 18:00 pm.
Dinner and Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 5: Kusadasi - Ephesus Tour - Turkish Village Sirince

Tuesday
After breakfast between 08:30 am, departure from hotel fully guided tour of Ephesus, one of the best-preserved ancient sites in the world en - route, visiting the Temple of Artemis, Curetes street, famous Roman baths, Celsus Library and Grand theatre.
Lunch break around 13:00 pm.
After the lunch, we will visit a place, which continues to perform one of the oldest arts of Turkey; a carpet-weaving centre.
After lunch, we will do a Turkish Village Tour. Sirince’s construction style today belongs to Anatolian Greeks. The houses on the slope are all Orginal with their white paints. Sirince Village also has a fantastic reputation for making some of the best wines in Turkey - especially fruit wines. There will be some free time to explore around of the village. On the way, we will visit one of the famous leather production centers of the region, where you will have the opportunity to get a good factory rate.

Day 6: Pamukkale Hierapolis

Wednesday
We depart for Pamukkale at 08:00 am.
Upon arrival to Pamukkale we have a lunch break until 13:30 pm.
Afterwards we shall visit the calcium terraces of Pamukkale (cotton castle) and the ruins of Hierapolis, then walk around this natural phenomenon and have the option of lying in the waters of the natural springs. Denizli/Pamukkale means seaside in Turkish and is located on the Buyuk Menderes River.  It is a growing industrial town, known for its textile industry and outlet shopping. You will visit one of the famous textile factories of Pamukkale.

Day 7: Pamukkale to Antalya

Thursday
After breakfast, at 10:00 am. we depart for Antalya. The trip is going to take roughly 3 to 4 hours. Once you reach Antalya, check in to your hotel and rest of time is yours.

Day 8: Antalya Old City Tour and Waterfalls

Friday 
After breakfast drive to Antalya Old City ( Kaleiçi ) Marina, Clock Tower, Hadrian's Gate, Broken Minaret, Hıdırlık Tower: Kaleici is a small historic part of Antalyas modern city, also known as the Old City of Antalya. In history it was once the sprawling modern Roman town, then the Byzantine Empire, then Seljuks, and finally the Ottoman Turkish town. The Hadrian's Gate (or Hadrianus Gate or The Three Gates is a triumphal arch which was built in the name of the Roman emperor Hadrian. Antalya's broken wonder is the Broken Minaret of the Korkut Mosque, which itself was built originally as a Roman temple in the 2nd century AD, and thus did not have a minaret at all. Hıdırlık Tower is a landmark tower of tawny stone in Antalya, Turkey, where Kaleiçi meets Karaalioglu Park. It is believed to be built in Hellenistic era on a square plan and later turned into circular tower in 2nd century AD and was used as either a fortification or a lighthouse in the past. We have lunch at the hotel and than depart for  Duden Waterfalls. All the streams of the region aim at finding their way into the Mediterranean and they pour down the slopes of the Taurus, sometimes overland sometimes underground and reaching their destination, result in lovely waterfalls, of which there are more than twenty. After tour come back to hotel and rest of day is yours.

Day 9: Antalya Cappadocia

Saturday
After breakfast early in the morning at 08:00 drive to Konya. 
Lunch at 13:30 pm at local restaurant.
After the lunch visit the imposing green - tiled Mausoleum of Mevlana, the mystic founder of the Sufi sect (Whirling Dervishes).
After the Konya Mevlana tour drive to Cappadocia.
Arrival to Cappadocia around 18:30 pm – 19:00 and check into your hotel.
Dinner and Overnight in Cappadocia.

**Please Note: This tour will be done by domestic flight from Antalya to Cappadocia if we can not reach the minimum 6 guests per departure.
Kindly note that in that case Antalya to Cappadocia domestic flight is included in given rate and lunch will be excluded.

Please Note: If you wish to join our optional activity of Cappadocia Hot Air Ballooning for tomorrow, please contact with your guide and register because it will take place early the next morning.

Day 10: Cappadocia

Cappadocia Tour
Cappadocia Tour with Underground City and Goreme Open Air Museum 
After breakfast at 09:30 depart for Cappadocia Tour.
We will drive you to Ozkonak Underground City, one of the best-preserved Underground cities in Cappadocia.
After Underground City tour, you visit Goreme Open Air Museum, the Heart of Cappadocia. Goreme Open Air Museum is famous for frescoes dating to 10th century describing the life of Jesus Christ and monks. Next stop is Cavusin, which is an abandoned village with old cave Greek houses. After Cavusin you go to the restaurant in Avanos to have lunch.
After lunch, you visit a pottery work shop, to see how to make potteries.
Then you go to Love Valley. Love Valley Cappadocia is a hidden valley with scenic formations to say the least. Despite the resemblance to man hood, these amazing rock formations are far from man-made. Next stop is Devrent Valley, which is also called Imagination Valley, where you can see natural rock formations looking like animals.
Last stop is Three Beauties, three beautiful fairy chimneys with their hats, which is the symbol of Cappadocia.
After the tour return back to your hotel.

Day 11: Cappadocia, Goreme, Underground City

Marvel at the lunar landscape of Cappadocia today as we visit the Goreme Valley Open Air Museum and the fairy chimneys, and explore the many levels of an underground city.

Day 12: Departure to Cairo

After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Istanbul, arriving at approximately 10:15 am, and our tour concludes.

We will transfer you to your hotel by air-conditioned transport.

Alexandria Day Tour
An early morning pick-up from your hotel in Cairo to make the most of all the sites you will visit today.
Your English speaking guide will accompany you in an air-conditioned vehicle for your Alexandria Day Tour.
Your first site today will be the Pompey’s Pillar, a Roman triumphal column the largest of its type constructed outside Rome. It was built between 284-305 A.D. in honour of the Roman Emperor Diocletian
You will then explore the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages.
After a delicious lunch, visit the Citadel of Qaitbay, a 15th-century defensive fortress located on the Mediterranean coast, in Alexandria, Egypt. It was established in 1477 AD by Sultan Al-Ashraf Sayf al-Din Qa'it Bay. The Citadel is situated on the eastern side of the northern tip of Pharos Island
The next stop will be at the modern Bibliotheca Alexandrina, which houses millions of books in its six specialized libraries.
Return to Cairo in the early evening

After breakfast, you will meet your Egyptologist/Tour Guide at the hotel to start the journey at the very beginning, the Step Pyramid at Saqqara, the first free standing building of stone in the whole world dating back to 2700 BC.

Day 15: Giza Pyramids and Sphinx

Tuesday 24th October 2023
Giza Pyramids and Sphinx
Today we explore the Giza Plateau, your chance to personally stand where the Ancient Egyptians stood thousands of years ago, next to the Great Pyramid of Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one that still exists.  
We continue our adventure with a camel ride through the Sahara for those who are interested (optional extra cost).
We finish our visit to the plateau with the Guardian Angel of the area, the monolithic and iconic Sphinx.
Lunch will be served with a spectacular view of the Pyramids 
The day is not over yet, we will now experience how the ancients recorded their history on the first paper ever produced, Papyrus, at a government regulated Papyrus Institute.

Day 16: Egyptian Museum

Egyptian Museum Flight to Aswan
Step into the energy of the city that never sleeps, we experience the crazy Cairo traffic as we drive into downtown Cairo and Tahrir Square, scene of the 2011 revolution and location of the Egyptian Museum.
The current Egyptian Museum was built before the discovery of the treasures of King Tutankhamen and his famous solid gold funerary mask so it is overflowing with ancient artefacts and would take many, many visits to see in its entirety so we highlight the best of the best.
Tonight, we will fly south to Aswan, (internal flights included).

Day 17: Abu Simbel

Thursday 26th October 2023
An early start today, so we can explore Abu Simbel. Great Temple of Ramses II, carved in the mountain on the west bank of the Nile between 1274 and 1244 BC and dedicated to the gods Ra-Horakhty, Amun and Ptah. This temple is aligned in such a way that, twice a year the first rays of the rising sun penetrate the temple, through the vestibule and into the sanctuary, where they illuminate the figures of the gods except Ptah. The Temple of Hathor is dedicated to Queen Nefertari, Ramses beloved wife. (approx 3 1/2 hours drive each way)

Day 18: Philae Temple - Nile River Cruise

Today we take a relaxing motor boat ride to Agilkia Island to visit the awesome Philae Temple, one of the most visited Temples in Nubia.
Philae Temple was dedicated to the goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus.

Day 19: Nile River Cruise

Nile Cruise/Komombo Temple
After an early morning sailing and breakfast on-board we visit Komombo, the dual temple of Horus & Sobek 
We return to our Cruise Boat and enjoy an afternoon sailing towards Edfu. Afternoon Tea on the Sun Deck
Dress like an Egyptian at the Galabeya Party tonight hosted in the lounge on-board.

Day 20: Nile River Cruise to Luxor

Sunday 29th October 2023
Free Day on-board our luxury Nile River Cruise. Enjoy sailing and watching life on the banks of the Nile.
Relax by the pool, catch up on some rest or enjoy a relaxing massage.
Late afternoon we visit the glorious Luxor Temple and watch as the sun sets and the temple is bathed in golden light.

Day 21: Karnak Temples

Monday 30th October 2023

Optional Hot Air Balloon, float high above the Nile & Valley of the Kings.
Breakfast on board then we sadly have to check out from cruise. Trust us you will be sad!
Karnak Temple at the East bank of the River Nile, the temple complex is huge, covering an area of 1 ½ x 3 km dedicated to the Pharaoh Amun and was also the centre of his worship for his wife Mut and their son Khons. There are over 25 temples and chapels in the complex.
The Karnak complex includes several of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian design and architecture. Among them is the Hypostyle Hall, considered one of the world’s great architectural achievements. It is filled with 134 enormous pillars, the highest 70 feet tall, and each about 45 feet around.
For those who might like to have their very own cartouche made we will visit a jewellery shop that can custom make one for you and have it ready before we leave Luxor.
Dinner tonight is another very special experience. Overnight in Luxor, our hotel is again positioned on the edge of the Nile River.

Day 22: Valley of the Kings

Valley of the Kings/Hatshepsut
Enjoy a visit to the Valley of the Kings. Climb down into the spectacularly decorated tombs of the Pharaohs.  
After that, we visit the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. 
The name Deir el-Bahri means Northern Monastery, indicating that the site was once used by Christian monks. Prior to the coming of Christianity, however, the site was a complex of mortuary temples and tombs built by the ancient Egyptians.
Hatshepsut is arguably one of the most formidable women in ancient Egypt.
Hatshepsut was the first female ruler of ancient Egypt to reign as a male with the full authority of pharaoh. 
Today we will visit a local alabaster factory and see how the hand-made pieces as created.

After breakfast, we start our day in Old Coptic Cairo (Hanging Church, Church of Abu Serga & Ben Ezra Synagogue), and then we visit Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque inside the Citadel of Salah El Din.  
Continue driving to the area of Islamic Cairo, where we will be able to explore Khan El Khalili, Cairo’s old bazaar.
