Your tour of Egypt begins today with a visit to the Step Pyramid, the world's oldest major stone structure. It was built in the 3rd Dynasty (around 2700 BC) for King Zoser.
Maybe not as famous as the Great Pyramids of Giza but this is where pyramid building all began. These areas we visit today showcase the early architecture of the Pharaoh's.
We then visit the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid of King Snefru at Dahshur.
Dahshur is a famous royal necropolis (cemetery) in Egypt that holds many famous Pyramids.
Saqqara is world famous for its traditional carpet making schools so we will visit one while in the area.
A traditional Egyptian lunch will be served at a local restaurant.
Meals: Breakfast & Lunch

Day 3: Pyramids and Sphinx at Giza

Monday 8th October
Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx & the Papyrus Institute
Today we will explore the Giza Plateau, your chance to personally stand where the Ancient Egyptians stood thousands of years ago, next to the Great Pyramid of Cheops, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and the only one that still exists.  Later, an experience not to miss is venturing down into the burial chamber of Menkaure (Third Pyramid).
We continue our adventure with a camel ride through the Sahara for those who are interested (optional extra cost).
We finish our visit to the plateau with the Guardian Angel of the area, the monolithic and iconic Sphinx.
The day is not over yet, we will visit the government regulated Papyrus Institute. We will now experience how the ancients recorded their history on the first paper ever produced.
See the processes and efforts it took to make this ancient form of paper. Also, enjoy the beautiful illustrative Egyptian art and stories painted depicting Egyptian lifestyle and culture.
Back to the hotel for quick freshen up.
We will end our day watching the sunset over the Sahara as we enjoy our dinner.

Day 4: Egyptian Museum, Perfumery & Flight to Aswan

Tuesday 9th October
Egyptian Museum, Perfumery & Flight to Aswan
Stepping into the energy of the city that never sleeps, we experience the crazy Cairo traffic as we drive into downtown Cairo and Tahrir Square, scene of the 2011 revolution and location of the Egyptian Museum.
The current Egyptian Museum was built before the discovery of the treasures of King Tutankhamen and his famous solid gold funerary mask so it is overflowing with ancient artefacts and would take many, many visits to see in its entirety so we highlight the best of the best.
*Please note the new Grand Egyptian Museum is under construction however we are not able to confirm if it will be open for our visit this October.
This afternoon we will visit a local perfume and essence factory to learn about ancient Healing Oils that date back to the time of the Pharaoh’s and all their healing benefits.
Here at the perfumery you can also purchase the base oil of your favourite fragrance like Ralph Lauren, Marc Jacobs or Fendi
Tonight we will fly south to Aswan, (internal flights included).
Transfer to our Hotel in Aswan, located on the Nile River.

Day 5: Aswan & Philae Temple

Wednesday 10th October
Philae Temple, Egyptian Cotton & Aswan Market
Today we take a relaxing motor boat ride to Agilkia Island to visit the awesome Philae Temple, one of the most visited Temples in Nubia which was saved from a watery grave by UNESCO after the construction of the Aswan Dam.
Philae Temple was dedicated to the goddess Isis, the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus, it
is one the most memorable temples we visit.
This temple is an integral part of our tour of Egypt, everyone who visits feels a very special connection, sometimes indescribable and always emotional, it oozes feminine energy and Goddess Isis reconnects us with our innate healing powers, it is beloved by healers from all over the world.
Goddess Isis supports everyone’s quest to reclaim their individual power and take responsibility for their healing journey. She shows us our ability to heal ourselves and to heal others. Isis can help to awaken your healing abilities and healing intuition, your ability to communicate with the physical body and to intuit any needs you may have for healing. She empowers you to use the healing power of love and gratitude and to raise the energy level of the physical body by connecting to Source.

This temple is aligned in such a way that, twice a year the first rays of the rising sun penetrate the temple, through the vestibule and into the sanctuary, where they illuminate the figures of the gods except Ptah. The Temple of Hathor is dedicated to Queen Nefertari, Ramses beloved wife.

The southern half of the temple was dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek and Khonsu
Meanwhile, the northern part of the temple was dedicated to the falcon god Haroeris the Elder.
The temple is atypical because everything is perfectly symmetrical along the main axis.
We return to our Cruise Boat and enjoy an afternoon sailing towards Edfu;

The Temple of Edfu is the second largest temple in Egypt. It is also known as the Temple of Horus (the falcon-headed God) and it is tone he most beautiful and well-preserved of all the Egyptian temples.

The Karnak complex includes several of the finest examples of ancient Egyptian design and architecture. Among them is the Hypostyle Hall, considered one of the world’s great architectural achievements.
It is filled with 134 enormous pillars, the highest 70 feet tall, and each about 45 feet around.

Prior to the coming of Christianity, however, the site was a complex of mortuary temples and tombs built by the ancient Egyptians. Hatshepsut is arguably one of the most formidable women in ancient Egypt. Hatshepsut was the first female ruler of ancient Egypt to reign as a male with the full authority of pharaoh.
Today we will visit a local alabaster factory and see how the hand-made pieces are created.
Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Day 11: Dendara

Tuesday 16th October

The Temple of Hathor is located in Dendara is a magnificent sight with its main building virtually intact, with twisting stairways carved with hieroglyphs.
Hathor was also regarded as a goddess of healing, and this is evident in the presence of a sanatorium in the temple complex. Here, pilgrims would come to be cured by the goddess. Sacred water (which was made holy by having it poured onto statues inscribed with sacred texts) was used for bathing, unguents were dispensed by the priests of Hathor, and sleeping quarters were provided for those hoping that the goddess would appear in their dreams, and so aid them.
In the evening, free time at leisure.
